Guruji started MAA SHREE SHAKTHI KSHETRA in the year 1997 – a few months after he decided to make this city Vadodara – his Abode. Earlier known as Shree Ramdas Ashram, it had started with a few devotees volunteering to dedicate them to work for the defined objectives of the Ashram under the guidance of Guruji. These objectives and the activities of the Ashram are as follows in the following pages.
The Ashram has grown since then with the number of devotees growing steadily in number and extent. Today its devotees are spread over many cities in the country and abroad. Although they are not present physically in the Ashram, they have been very actively participating in its activities.
It has been the proclaimed dream of Guruji to have a temple for MAA SHREE SHAKTI in Vadodara. The details of the Temple Project are also given in the following pages. The Temple will stand to symbolize the guiding principles of the Ashram, which are:
- To contribute its bit to protect the moral values propagated by the HINDU – Shastras and Puranas.
- To foster High Thinking, Simple living and Character Building among normal people.
- To regain the Faith of people in the Divine Presence of God amongst us to solve our myriad problems and to lead us to our goal of a purposeful Life.
MAA SHREE SHAKTI KSHETRA – the abode of JAGADAMBA :
MAA SHREE SHAKTI – as all our devotees know is JAGADAMBA.
In her original “avatar”, SHE is MOOKAMBIKA the reigning deity of the famous temple at Kollur, about eighty kilometers from Udipi in Karnataka. :
Mookambika demolished the demon Mahishasura, the invincible and established the power of righteousness, truth and goodness in the Universe.
Ever since 1997, many devotees from Baroda and around , as also many others currently working in other States and Countries have benefited from JAGADAMBA’s Devine presence.
Many devotees, although they have not “seen” JAGADAMBA, have felt HER presence at the Ashram and their homes. True experiences of some of the devotees have been documented in the form of a booklet, which would be made available soon.
